What's happening

19 April 2017 - The CODA Committee held an all members meeting and social event on Wednesday, 19th April 2017 at 7:00pm at the Croydon Town Hall, Mayor’s Reception Suite.  

 

After the business of the meeting had concluded, we held the CODA Quiz.  Our quiz master for the evening was our Chairman, Michael Trakas.  The winners were the Nothing Too Tawdry team, seen here in the photo.  Well done to all who attended.

 

20 February 2017 - Our production of ROPE is now complete, and the first reviews are in.  Click here to read the Sardines review.  Congratulations to the cast and crew on an outstanding production.

15 December 2016 - The meet and greet for CODA's summer production in Wandle Park of Pirates of Penzance was held on Thursday, 15th December 7:30pm at Royal Russell School Junior Hall.  Auditions will be held on 15th January from 12-5pm also at Royal Russell School Junior Hall.

16 November 2016 - The CODA AGM was held at the Croydon Town Hall.  Minutes from the meeting will be made available soon.  Congratulations and thanks to the retiring committee members Peter Davis and Sarah Block and to the new committee Michael Trakas, Jon Edwards and Ziggi Szafranski.

12 November 2016 - CODA held the annual CODA Ball on Saturday, 12th November at the Croydon & District Masonic Hall. 

The theme this year was a masquerade, with ornate masks, shiny dancing shoes, and everyone's best masquerade looks for what was a magical night to remember.  Photos will be available soon.

4 & 6 November 2016 - CODA held auditions for our upcoming production of Rope, directed by Sarah H Gordon, at the Royal Russell Junior School Hall.  Cast is as follows:

14 October 2016 - CODA hosted an evening of karaoke at the Green Dragon Pub.  We raised £150 on the night!  Thank you to everyone that attended and made the evening such a success.  The proceeds have been split between CODA and the Mayor's Charities (Stanley Halls, The British Home and Croydon Commitment)

30 July 2016 - CODA's production of Much Ado About Nothing was a success.  Thank you to everyone that came along to help out and to our audiences for your support.  The reviews are in and glowing!

22 July 2016 - CODA hosted a Quiz Night on Friday, 22nd July at 7:30pm.  The quizmaster for the evening was our very own Michael Trakas.  There was a prize for the winning team as well as a charity raffle.  All that attended had a fun filled evening and we would like to thank The Mayor and Deputy Mayor for hosting as well as the town hall staff that helped us make it an evening to remember

13 July 2016 - Several CODA members are treading the boards of the Minack Theatre in a new, original musical, The Clockmaker's Daughter.  The show runs 15-19 August 2016.  For more information, please click here.

18 June 2016 - CODA performed at this year's Croydon Heritage Festival at 14:30 on Saturday, 18 June.  They also had a visit from the CODA patron, The Mayor of Croydon at the stall.  For information about the festival, please visit their website by clicking here.

26th May 2016 - CODA was delighted to be asked by the new Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Wayne Trakas-Lawlor, to perform at his inaugural dinner on 26th May 2016 at the Arnhem Gallery, Fairfield Halls.  The event saw over 200 guests in attendance.  Members of CODA performed five numbers from their recent musical revue, All That Fosse.
